at lodgings, usernames should be ooc. think of your username as your character's twitter, instagram, or snapchat handle. we will not permit usernames with excessive numbers or underscores. all users should also have at least one icon uploaded to the journal. we expect to see large entries behind an lj-cut as well as ooc customers, ic customs, scenes, bios, and etc. "backdated" properly. if you need help with backdating, just reach out. while we don't expect genius html coding or you to spend five months on the journal - we do expect a journal that meets the overall aesthetic of our group. if you're not sure how to use html - reach out and we can pair you up with a member that can help. that, or - use that nice, plain grey generator layout. we care about effort and have a number of html/coding help journals linked on our application page to get you started.

while we are not an invite-only gpsl, we do require examples. the type of examples - we're not picky on. we request you have at least two to show us. we would prefer to see one thread/scene example with your choice of a character narrative or update example. if you don't have thread examples please just give us whatever you do have an example of. if we need to see more, we will ask for it. along with providing examples, you must: + request membership to gatecode.
+ provide us with a complete character bio.
+ create storylines with other members via pbads, etc.
+ have a public "friends only" post. we reserve the right to reject for any reason. at this time, we are not responding to comments regarding rejections. however, we will reach out if we need more information on examples or anything you can adjust before adds. all adds are on a rolling bases due to the small group size. adds will be within 24 hours of your application, unless otherwise noted.

our community is based on activity and interaction. each month, the mods host a minimum of 2 events to our residents/members. usually, we will hold bi-monthly polls to see what activities members like the best. we understand we are all adults with real life problems and issues. if any member cannot meet the monthly requirements, we simply ask that they reach out to us here. whether it's a hiatus (minimum of 4 weeks) or an extension, we're here for you on a member-to-member basis. update requirements

one journal entry per month is required. this entry can be anything you would like but we ask it's not just a simple one-liner. it can be open to interaction or a private entry. moodboards, narratives, any type of character development posts are loved here. help the members get to know your character.

activity requirements

in addition (+) to the one update per month, we require activity in at least one monthly event to complete monthly requirements. this is to ensure interactions between characters.

removals take place at the end of the month and will be communicated on the monthly event calendars. if your character is up for override, we will update the taken list within the last week. we are strict on removals. unless you contact us, we will assume you are inactive and remove you. our group is small and our interactions and activity requirements are non-negotiable. we want to see you interacting with all of your peers here and thriving.

we shouldn't have to say it, but ooc/ic blurring will get your character removed no questions asked. at this time, the character cap is 1 per person. apps like discord and wire are prohibited in this gpsl community at this time.
